About This Race
The 13th Annual JOURNEYS Run/Walk is a family-friendly superhero-themed 5K and 1K fun run set in Deer Grove East Forest Preserve in Palatine, Illinois. Presented by JOURNEYS | The Road Home, the event raises funds and awareness for people facing homelessness and housing insecurity in the north and northwest suburbs of Cook County. More than just a race, the JOURNEYS 5K is a community celebration welcoming participants of all ages and abilities. Dogs on leashes are warmly invited. Participants receive a t-shirt and race bib; those registered after June 1 are not guaranteed a shirt. Race materials can be picked up on Friday, June 19 at JOURNEYS' office at 1140 East Northwest Highway, Palatine.
