About This Race
The Patriot 5K-10K Run/Walk is an annual memorial race presented by the Roman Runners Club of Rome, NY, honoring US Military College ROTC Cadet Richard Mitchell. The event offers three distance options — a 5K run, 10K run, and 2-mile walk — all starting at 9:00 AM from the Orgill Warehouse on Atlas Drive. Fully chip-timed with mapped routes on MapMyRun, the race features age-group awards across multiple categories and special recognition for active-duty military and veterans. An awards ceremony immediately follows the race.
