About This Race

Miles for a Match 5K is hosted by the Texas State University chapter of Mu Epsilon Delta in collaboration with Gift of Life, an organization that helps patients with blood cancers find bone marrow and stem cell donors. The event in San Marcos, Texas brings together students, families, and community members to raise awareness and support. A portion of the proceeds grows the bone marrow registry to help patients find a life-saving match.

The Miles for a Match 5K is more than just a race; it’s a community event for everyone. Enjoy local vendors, live music, and family-friendly activities for kids and adults throughout the morning. In partnership with Gift of Life, there will also be a table where participants can complete a quick cheek swab to register as a potential bone marrow donor and help patients battling blood cancers find a life-saving match. Bring your friends and family to run, walk, or cheer while supporting an important cause. More activities and announcements coming soon!
