About This Race

The 45th annual Derby Firecracker Race takes place on the 4th of July with a certified 4 mile course and a fast certified 1 mile course, both looping through Derby's High Park. The chip-timed event offers a cash reward to the fastest male and female runners in each race plus age group awards. It is organized by the Derby Running Club as a sponsor-free event designed by runners for runners.

Hydration Support

An aid station with water at the 2.5-mile mark of the 4-mile race; bottled water at the finish line.

Cash reward of $50 to fastest male and female in each race, plus custom awards for the top three runners in each age group.
