About This Race
The Gene Bednarowski Memorial and Cherry Run takes place on July 4 in Watervliet, Michigan in memory of Gene Bednarowski, a former Watervliet mentor, teacher, and coach. The event offers a 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run, 1 Mile Fun Run, and Virtual 5K, running through neighborhood streets along Paw Paw Lake and through the city of Watervliet. Proceeds support the Watervliet Track and Field Program.

Overall male and female winners plus age group winners and placers, 1st - 3rd. 1 Mile youth race awards for the top 10 finishers. 5k run/walk & 10K run awards for the top 3 male and female winners in each division and the overall finishers.

Packet pick up on Friday, July 3 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at the Watervliet High School cafeteria and the morning of the race starting at 7:00 AM.
