About This Race

The Firecracker 4K is an annual run/walk that kicks off Central PA 4th Fest's day-long Independence Day celebration. The race is run on the Penn State main campus, starting near the Bryce Jordan Center on the east side of campus. For 2026 the broader festival is centered at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
