You Matter Juneteenth Freedom 5K

You can complete your race anytime and anywhere throughout the month of June. You will receive shipping confirmation in early June when your SWAG is shipped to you. Race registration includes shipping and handling. Items SHOULD arrive prior to June 19th, but it is NOT guaranteed.

Card Game celebrating Black culture, community, college pride, and workplace fun. 📍 Location: Fort Hunt Park – Pavilion D 🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM 🎟️ Cost: FREE to attend Following the awards ceremony, join us for two exciting rounds of PO' UP! Live featuring trivia, friendly competition, music, audience participation, and prizes for contestants and attendees. Guests can expect: An interactive live game show hosted by DJ 3o7 and Sierra Avé Two rounds of game play celebrating Black experiences from college to the workplace A free deck of PO' UP! Card Game for selected contestants who play on stage A complimentary specialty drink curated by Unique Drinks for guests 21+ while supplies last. Whether you ran the 5K, walked the Freedom Lap, or came to support, PO' UP! Live is the perfect way to celebrate Juneteenth, joy, and community together. After May 15th, shirts are not guaranteed.  Limited race day shirts may be available while supplies last.  Not ready for the full 5k but still want to be part of the experience? Or already running the 5k and want one more lap with the community? Join us for The Freedom Lap: a one-loop celebration around the park designed for everyone. Start time: Approximately 9:30am after the 5k concludes and awards ceremony is complete Distance: 1 loop around Fort Hunt Park Who It's For: Walkers, runners, supporters- ALL are welcome Vibe: Fun, inclusive, community-centered Your Race Director will be joining you for this lap! This will be my first time participating alongside you, and I can't wait to share that moment together. Even though this is a shorter event, you'll still get the full You Matter Juneteenth Freedom 5k experience including:  Food, Music & DJ, Community Vibes, Post-race festivities.  Plus, a portion of proceeds will go toward our scholarship fund for DMV-area graduating seniors.  Your participation makes a real impact.  Registration includes Official race shirt and race swag (if registered by May 15th) *******Does NOT include a Finisher Medal******
