About This Race
The NC 4th of July Festival Freedom Run is a 5K along the waterfront of downtown Southport, North Carolina. The route winds through the neighborhood past oak trees and the Cape Fear River. The event supports the NC 4th of July Festival and also offers a 1 mile run/walk. Proceeds benefit the festival.

Top overall male and female, top overall masters male and female, top three male and female in five-year age groups (14 and under through 70 plus). Awards handcrafted by South Brunswick High School students.

Packet Pickup
Friday, June 26 packet pickup 4:00PM-6:30PM at Cape Side Brewing, 511 N Howe Street. Last chance packet pickup race day 6:00-7:15 AM at Southport Waterfront Park.
