About This Race

The FSRC Independence 5000 is a free, low-key 5K race at Riverside Park in Frederick hosted by the Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club. The race starts at 8:30 AM and follows an out and back course on the paved trail through the park with two water stops. The event is chip timed and counts towards the FSRC Grand Prix. Participants are asked to bring a food item to share after the race.
