About This Race
The Heart of America Marathon & Relay is the 2nd oldest continuously running marathon in the US, held annually since 1960 in Columbia, MO. The 26.2-mile course starts and finishes at Nifong Park and includes approximately 5.5 miles of well-maintained gravel roads, the Katy Trail along the Missouri River, and the legendary Easley Hill. A 7-person relay option lets teams of 2-4 runners complete the traditional marathon course. The event is presented by the Columbia Track Club with a strict six-hour time limit.
