Queen City Mile

Packet pickup and race day registration will be from 4-6 inside Resurgence Brewing in the beer garden. 

Races will start at 6:00 (kids), 6:20 ( all women ), 6:40 (all men). 

Have you ever run a mile as fast as you can? Do you think you have what it takes to compete with the best of the best? Come out and show out for a fast and fun mile race through the heart of the Old First Ward. Whether it’s your first mile or your 200th mile, come out and chase your 2026 running goals in this fast race! Challenge the best amongst the Buffalo running community in this race presented by Checkers AC. After the race swing by Resurgence and enjoy some cold beverages with your best mates. Make sure to sign up by July 16 to ensure a race shirt! We will have a small amount of shirts after for sale. 

Custom prizes for the winners and prize money paid only to USATF Niagara association members that win and a $100 course record bonus. 

This race is part of the USATF Niagara runner of the year series and Buffalo runner of the year series and heats will be split up by gender with a separate kids race. 

Goal: Raise money for 2 scholarships which will be awarded in 2027. One scholarship for a youth to attend 1 week of Snyder Track and Field Summer camp, and one for a high schooler to attend Blue Mountain XC camp for one week.
