Salmon River 5.5 Mile Run

The Salmon River 5.5 Mile Run is the Colchester Land Trust's earth-friendly road race in rural Eastern Connecticut, held October 3, 2026 at 10:00am for its 20th year. The scenic course begins and ends at the Comstock covered bridge and follows the Salmon River through the State Forest and along the Airline Trail over varied terrain ending with a fast downhill finish. A BBQ and awards ceremony on the banks of the Salmon River follow the race, with free T-shirts to the first 100 entrants.
