About This Race
The Abner Oakes III Veterans Run offers a 5K, 10K and 1 Mile Fun Walk on the Farmington Canal trail in Hamden, CT. The course is an out-and-back with no traffic intersections to cross. Proceeds benefit House of Heroes Connecticut, which provides no-cost home repairs to Connecticut military and public safety veterans. The event honors Abner Oakes III, a Navy Veteran and founder of the Hamden Veterans Commission.
