About This Race
The Fall Backyard Burn at Hemlock Overlook is a trail race in Clifton, Virginia offering a 5.2-mile (1 lap) or 9.5-mile (2 laps) option along the banks of historic Bull Run. The course runs over hiking trails, old dirt roads, and open fields with rocks and roots, and is designed to be spectator friendly. The registration fee includes professional race operations, aid stations, medical support, post-race food, awards, and race swag.
