Lizard Peak Scramble Trail Runs

WOW! If you missed our Inaugural Kids Dirt Dash you and your family are in for a treat. This race really brought it all together making the Lizard Peak Scramble Trail Runs a trail day for everyone. The Little Lizards Dirt Dash will be a short out and back race intended to give kids a taste of trail running. The Dirt Dash will start and finish at the official starting line arch. Parents must accompany any runners under age 8 and are encouraged to run with any kids regardless of age who they feel need assistance. All registered "Little Lizards" will receive a custom race bib and Dirt Dash Finishers medal for crossing the finish line.

A fresh new race route has been mapped out for 2026. This event will take participants around the Lizard Peak Mountain Range and out to Balanced Rock Cove on some pretty sweet single track. In this event you will get a taste of it all; single track, technical sections, gravel washes and yes some elevation changes. However, nothing as radical as 2025. IMPORTANT: the 10k will not have you scrambling, hiking and crawling your way to Lizard Peak. The 5k Scramble is the only event headed to the summit. On this route runners will come face to face with the blue green waters of Lake Havasu at Balanced Rock cove. You won't be disappointed.

This event is the ONLY one headed to the rocky summit of Lizard Peak. Get ready to push yourself to new heights. Whether you decide to run and scramble or just plan to hike it, the 5k Scramble is expected to be a fun, challenging, technical and thrilling event. This course is a mix of single track, loose gravel and sandy washes. The majority of the elevation gain is found in the first mile with a short, but vertical rock wall scramble at .72 miles that will test participants agility, nerves and teamwork with Lizard Peak towering overhead. (Event Crew members at this location to assist as needed) Participants will run, scramble and hike their way to the summit of Lizard Peak where they'll be rewarded with breathtaking 360 degree views of Lake Havasu City and the surrounding desert and lake.
