About This Race

The Rubey Rescue Run is a Halloween-themed, dog-friendly 5.6K (3.5 mile) run or 1 mile walk beginning at Koch Park and winding through the Marolt foot path and open space. It is a timed race with cash prizes for the top 3 female and male finishers, plus prizes for best costumes and raffle prizes. All net proceeds benefit the Friends of the Aspen Animal Shelter.

Race Day Details: Sunday, October 4, 2026 Pick-up packet- 9:15am-9:45 am Race begins: 10:00am Koch Park, 199 W. Cooper Avenue, Aspen, CO 81611 3.1 miles, 1,700 feet of elevation gain Prizes awarded at 10:00 am on the Cliffhouse deck Water stations for both dogs and humans will be located at mile 1, mile 2.2 and at the Cliff House. PLEASE remember to bring your own water bottle. We will provide dog bowls at the aid stations.
