About This Race
The Habanero Hundred is a hot-weather trail race held in August at the 7IL Ranch near Bellville, Texas, billed as Texas' hottest trail race. The marquee 100-mile event starts at high noon with a 30-hour cutoff, and the race offers many distances from 10K up to 135 miles plus 100M and 100K relay options. All runners receive an event shirt, the race is chip timed, and belt buckles are awarded to 100M and 100K finishers.
Course & Race Day Details
Hydration Support
There are 3 aid stations (Start/Finish, Road Crossing unmanned, and Hot Tamales halfway). TROT is a cupless racing company, so runners must carry their own hydration device of at least 500ml. Aid stations offer water, ice, electrolytes, soda, and food.
Awards
The top teams in the 100M and 100K Relay receive a special pennant, and top Houston Area Road Runner's clubs and F3 Teams compete for their own pennants.
Race Weekend Logistics
Packet Pickup
Pre-race packet pickup is Wednesday August 19th 12:00-7:00 PM at Good Times Running Co in Katy, TX, with additional pickup Friday and Saturday at the 7IL Ranch Barn Pavilion.
Medical Support
Emergency medical professionals are on location Saturday during the day with local EMS on call for the remainder of the weekend. The Race Director and Medical Staff have ultimate authority on participants starting or continuing.
