About This Race

The Christmas Town Dash is a festive 8K run through Busch Gardens Williamsburg's Christmas Town, now in its 17th year. Participants tour the holiday-decorated park and finish with a high five from Mrs. and Santa Claus. Registration includes a long sleeve technical shirt, a finisher medal that doubles as an ornament, and a free Christmas Town ticket. A half-mile Dasher kids run is also offered.

Race walking requires the competitor to maintain contact with the ground at all times and requires the leading leg to be straightened as the foot makes contact with the ground. It must remain straightened until the leg passes under the body.
