About This Race
Bob's Vets of Highlands County is excited to announce our first Veteran's Day 5K RUN/WALK (Faith and Freedom 5K) this fall. We have been trying to think of more fun and unique ways to celebrate our veterans and since Highlands County is known for their love of running, we thought 5K would be a great idea. Our event will be held at Highlands Hammock State Park on Saturday November 8th at 8:00 AM.
Bob's Vets of Highlands County is a faith based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing all-expense-paid hunting, fishing, and kayaking trips for disabled veterans. Our mission is to use the outdoors as a therapeutic tool to promote healing, restoration, and spiritual growth for veterans facing the challenges of their disabilities.
Through these adventures, we seek to honor their services, foster a sense of camaraderie, and encourage personal renewal in the beauty of God's creation. Our goal is to provide veterans with a transformative experience that nurtures their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Awards: Custom Dog Tags for the top 3 in each male and female age group along with Overall Open, Master, and Grand Master:

1-8, 9-11, 12-15, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and Over
