About This Race

The Ocean State Rhode Races is a boutique Rhode Island race weekend in Narragansett featuring a Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K. The course showcases classic Rhode Island beauty with ocean views, river walks, and working farms, starting and finishing at Narragansett Town Beach. The marathon is USATF certified and a Boston Marathon Qualifier. A post-race festival is held at Narragansett Town Beach.

Hydration Support

Race Weekend Logistics

Packet Pickup

Packet Pick-Up Friday Oct 23 5-7pm at Rhode Runner, Providence; Saturday Oct 24 12-5pm at South Kingstown Recreation Center; Race Day pickup must be reserved in advance.

Medical Support

Aid stations throughout the course with medical and water stops; port-a-potties at all aid stations.

Marathon Marathon
The course is a stunning mix of beautiful farms, coastal homes, old rock walls and tree-lined, back roads. The race runs past ocean views, river walks, kayak stands and fishing holes. Race day starts at famous Narragansett Town Beach, winding through beautiful US 1A before descending into gorgeous Bonnet Shores. The race rejoins US 1A, following working farms and picturesque waterways before heading back to the finish at the Town Beach. The race is truly quintessential Rhode Island. The course is USATF certified and is a Boston Marathon Qualifier.

The 5k course will follow the start and finish of our larger races but enjoy a turn around on a beautiful, tree lined back road. The race will kick off 15 mins after our half marathon at 8:15 am at the same start banner as the rest of the Rhode Races.
