About This Race
Sky Island is a trail race held in the Davis Mountains of west Texas, starting and finishing at Prude Ranch near Fort Davis. The 9th annual event offers 10 Mile, 25K, and 50K distances on rugged mile-high trail through shifting desert and high-altitude pine biomes. All finishers receive a finisher medal and a post-race meal, and a portion of proceeds benefits Texas State Parks and Wildlife. It is part of the Texas Trail Championship.

Aid stations on course including Park Entrance Aid, Skyline Aid, Primitive aid, and Prude Hill fluid-only aid station.
Awards
1st M/F winners in each race and 1st M/F masters category; 2nd and 3rd overall also receive an award.
