About This Race

The Barr Trail Mountain Race is a historic summer mountain running event on the Colorado Front Range. The 12.6-mile course begins at the Cog Railway Station in Manitou Springs at 6,570 ft, ascends Pikes Peak's Barr Trail to Barr Camp at 10,200 ft, then descends to finish at the Barr Trailhead. It is part of the Garden to Peak Challenge series and operates under a special use permit from the Pike National Forest.
