About This Race
Join us as we kick off Annandale's week-long Independence Day celebration with the Firecracker 5K and 1 Mile Sparkler Run/Walk! The year the event will be held the weekend before the Fourth of July to complement and avoid conflicts with other community festivities. This family-friendly yet competitive event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.
Both courses begin and end near Annandale Municipal Park, bringing participants together for a fun-filled morning of fitness, community spirit, and patriotic celebration as we launch one of Minnesota's premier Fourth of July traditions.
The Firecracker 5K & 1 Mile Sparkler Run serves as a fundraiser supporting the St. John's Lutheran Church Children, Youth, and Family Fund, as well as other Annandale organizations and groups that help make this event possible.
