About This Race
-Run where it’s level-
Farm & Natural Lands Trust of York County is proud to celebrate the 15th Sasquatch Preservation 5K & 10K Trail Run, held at the amazing, permanently preserved South Branch Farms. The Sasquatch is chip-timed, and the start for BOTH RACES is 9:00 AM on Saturday, September 12.
Whether you're a weekend warrior or serious trail runner, The Sasquatch is all about getting dirty, having fun, and supporting FNLT’s land preservation efforts across York County. Is the course tough? That depends on who you ask…
Wild, Wild Life
Once featured as one of Runner’s World magazine’s America’s Top Trail Races, The Sasquatch is off-road (save for one safe road crossing) with cross-country trails on varied terrain and elevation through farmland, woods, pastures, and streams.
On the course, you’ll find bugs, birds, deer, turkeys, owls, foxes, coyotes, snakes and… yes, sasquatches! The 10K features climbs including a trek OVER the historic Howard Tunnel / Rail Trail, and both runs cross the Codorus Creek near the finish.
As our OG course designer Rob Kinsley states: “If you’re not wet and dirty, you’re disqualified!”
The Sasquatch Post-Race Party
If you find yourself crossing the finish line, hang out and enjoy some awesome stuff from FNLT’s community partners:
A light lunch provided by Rockfish Hospitality
Fresh fruit from Flinchbaugh’s Orchard & Farm Market
NEW FOR OUR 15TH YEAR:
Adult beverage sampling from York's own Collusion Tap Works (21+ with ID).
Smoothie King of York will have samples for kids and non-drinkers!
