CASA of Wise & Jack Counties - The Great Decatur Dash and Bash

The Great Decatur Dash & Bash, a one-of-a-kind community celebration in historic downtown Decatur, Texas!

The day begins with a family-friendly 5K through the heart of Decatur, followed by a fall festival packed with fun activities, costumes, community spirit, and entertainment on the Downtown Square. Combining the excitement of the former Superhero 5K with the beloved Boo Bash tradition, The Great Decatur Dash & Bash offers something for everyone.

Participants are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the event by wearing costumes, capes, superhero gear, or festive fall attire as they run, walk, and celebrate for a great cause.

Hosted by CASA of Wise and Jack Counties, this event raises awareness of child abuse and neglect and supports children experiencing foster care. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers are trained community members who advocate for the best interests of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. These dedicated volunteers provide a consistent voice for children as they navigate the foster care system and work toward safe, permanent homes.

Proceeds from The Great Decatur Dash & Bash directly support CASA's efforts to recruit, train, and support volunteer advocates serving children in Wise and Jack Counties.

Whether you're racing for a personal best, walking with friends, showing off your costume, or enjoying the festivities on the Square, your participation helps ensure that every child in foster care has someone fighting for their future.

9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over

5K: Medals awarded for Overall M/F, TOP YOUTH M/F, and 3 deep in each age division.
