About This Race

The Monster Dash is a family-friendly 5K/10K fun run that loops around Silver Lake behind the Leesburg Campus of Lake-Sumter State College. The course offers scenic views of Silver Lake and is timed, with prizes awarded to top runners in each age group and gender. Costumes are encouraged. All proceeds benefit the LSSC Foundation, which supports scholarship and education at the college.

We are hosting a XC Meet before the 5K starts. We will have events for cross country teams starting at 9a. Our finale event is our 5K for everyone which will also be run by any XC team members who are 15-18. The 5k will start at 11am.
