About This Race

The Bit of Hope Ranch 5K Trail Run takes place on a certified course around a 50 acre horse ranch in southern Gaston County, NC. The event includes a 2K Walk and a Half Pint Run for children ages 7 and under. The trail winds through hardwoods and along the waterfront before finishing on a downhill slope. Proceeds fund equine assisted therapy programs for children and adults.

This certified 5K Trail Run coverers trails with hilly and varied terrain for a thrilling run. Trails run through hardwoods, along the waterfront and event a short distance on a quiet road to give your feet a break. You will enjoy running in this positive and professional event.

The 5K (3.1 miles) can be run on any course of runner's choosing. Proof of distance and time must be emailed to [email protected] before midnight on October 13, 2023. There are no awards or t-shirts for Virtual run.

Bit of Hope Half-Pint race (ages 7 and under)
This half-pint race will start and end before the 5K run starts. The distance will be between 400 and 800 meters. This is a non-timed event. All runners will receive participant metals. Shaved Ice cones will also we given to finishers.
