About This Race

The historic Camptown races offers a challenge like no other. The race is approximately 10k in length and offers both road and trail. The trail section is approximately 2.8 miles long and is technical! Be prepared for tree roots, loose rocks, and a creek crossing. Earn your place in history by conquering this challenging course! This year we are adding a 5k option to the Camptown Races.  Transportation will be provided to the start of the 5k.

Camptown Races 5k 5K
The runners will be bussed to the start line which is located at the trailhead of the Camptown Races Trail. The runners will get to enjoy the full length of the trail as they make their way back to the finish in Camptown.

Camptown Races 10k Relay 10K
Each runner will run 5k of the historic Camptown Races course. The first leg is mostly flat and on pavement. There will be a small amount on grass trails. The runners will start at the traditional start and run to the trailhead of the Camptown Races Trail. The second leg is 100% on the historic trail. The runners will be bussed to the exchange zone at the trailhead. The second runner will enjoy the Camptown Races Trail as they make their way back to finish in Camptown.
