About This Race

The 29th running of the Steamtown Marathon, held on Sunday, October 11, 2026. This USATF-certified event is an official Boston Marathon qualifier. The 26.2-mile course descends 955 feet across 14 communities. The marathon benefits St. Joseph's Center, Scranton; the event has donated over $2.6 million to the center since 1996.
