About This Race

The Beast of the Brazos, an open-water swim event in Waco, TX, is 2.4 miles and 1.2 mile distances mirroring a full IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 Waco courses. Newly added this year is a 750 meter swim sprint! All participants registered before August 8th will receive a swim cap, dri-fit shirt, and finisher’s medal.

Early Packet pick-up is TBD Race Day onsite packet pick-up is from 6:30 am-8 am at Indian Springs Park. All registered swimmers will receive a swim cap, t-shirt, and a finisher’s medal for those who make it past…The Beast! Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers per tiered age group. You won't be able to qualify for a top 3 tiered age group award if you wear a wetsuit. Age groups: 19 and under, 20-31, 32-42, 43-55, 56-64, 65+ T-shirt guaranteed to all registrations received by Friday, July 25, 2025. Limited quantities are available after this date.
