About This Race
The Litchfield Hills Road Race is Litchfield County's premier road race, held annually on the second Sunday of June through the historic center and scenic countryside surrounding Litchfield, Connecticut. The challenging 7-mile course passes through the town green, quaint streets, dirt roads, woodland paths, and over Chickadee Bridge, culminating with the notorious Gallows Lane hill ranked among Runner's World's top ten most daunting hills in U.S. racing. The race has drawn participants from across the United States and internationally, with a post-race awards ceremony on the village green. Proceeds support scholarships for local high school students and donations to community organizations.
