Race Overview
The Holiday Valley Mudslide is a fun-focused obstacle trail run that combines mountain terrain with 15 challenging obstacles and lots of mud. This annual event at Holiday Valley Resort offers a safe but exciting mudrun experience without dangerous elements like fire, barbed wire, or electric shocks.
Course & Route
The course offers two main options: a 4.2-mile short course (mostly downhill) and a 6.0-mile long course with added uphill challenges. Both courses start at the top of Morning Star with access via the Yodeler lift, run along the ridgeline to Spruce Lake, and loop back around the mountain to Eagle where the courses split.
Race Schedule & Events
The event includes Mudslide Long Course (6.0 miles), Mudslide Short Course (4.2 miles), and a Kids Race for ages 10 and under. Kids under 10 may run the short course but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Registration & Pricing
Registration must be completed before June 1st to guarantee a Mudslide T-shirt. Kids race pricing starts around $22, with adult pricing typically ranging from $50-$90 depending on course and registration timing.
Participant Experience
The 15 obstacles are designed for fun rather than extreme difficulty, making the event accessible to participants of various fitness levels. The mudrun features plenty of mud, mountain scenery, and challenging terrain without dangerous elements.
Awards & Swag
All finishers receive a medal, and participants registered before June 1st receive a guaranteed Mudslide T-shirt. The top 10 finishers in each category receive special recognition.

Tips for Participants
