About This Race

The Mandan Rodeo Days 4th of July Road Race is a noncompetitive 5K Run and Walk held on Independence Day along the full length of Mandan, North Dakota's historic Main Street. The 45th annual event begins at 8:00 AM, just before the Mandan Independence Day Parade. The flat course offers potential for fast times. Each registration donates $10 to the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation.

This is the only race that takes you along the full length of Mandan’s historic Main Street—an experience reserved exclusively for the 4th of July. The course begins at 3rd Ave NW and West Main, heads west to 10th Ave NW, then loops back east past the Mandan Depot and down to just before Burger King, before returning to the starting point. Runners are cheered on by thousands of spectators lining the street for the Independence Day Parade, creating an electric atmosphere. With a flat and fast route, it’s the perfect way to start your 4th of July.
