About This Race

The Summit North Trail Runs are part of the Duluth Trails Festival held at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, MN over August 7-9, 2026. The trail running races span a Heavy Half Marathon (14 miles) on the Duluth Traverse and Superior Hiking Trail, an ~8-mile run, a Mountain Lap 5K of technical singletrack, and a 1.5-mile hill climb and descent. The event also features mountain bike racing and family-friendly activities at Spirit Mountain.
