Description

The 1st annual Strawberry Jam 1k/5k Fun Run/Walk put on by the Friends of Watsonville Parks and Community Services will kick-off the Watsonville Strawberry Festival on Saturday August 3rd, 2019 at Ramsay Park. This is a moderate hilly, fun course that starts and ends at Ramsay Park and traverses Watsonville's famous sloughs with an out and back section on Ohlone Parkway. No dogs, but families and strollers are welcome. Event details and schedule

Check-in on race day begins at 6:45am at Ramsay Park parking lot by the Family Center. We will kick-off with the Kids 1K Fun Run/Walk promptly at 7:45am. *Parents are welcome to join and guide their kids through the 1K! The 5k Fun Run/Walk will follow for those of ages 12+ starting at 8am. There will be portable restrooms and water stations available on day of race. Look out for designated guides who will be stationed at different points of the race to ensure the designated course is easy to follow. Don't forget to wear sunscreen and last of all, enjoy yourselves!

Registration Fees are as follows:

Kids 1K  (Ages 12 and under on day of race):

-$5

5k (Ages 12+ on day of race):

-$25 until 06/25/2019

-$35 until 08/02/2019

-$40 on day-of race 08/03/19

**Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers of each 5-year age group!

**Please indicate T-shirt size preference at registration. No T-shirts included for 1K race & T-shirts are not guaranteed on race day registration.

**Divisions: 5K: 5 year age groups, starting with 4 and under thru 95 and over. 1K Kids Run: 0-2, 3-4, & 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 & 10-12.

 

**Costumes are not required but definitely encouraged!!
