Summer Sizzler- Grand Rapids

Summer Sizzler Grand Rapids is a family-friendly running event on August 17, 2025 at scenic Riverside Park along the Grand River. Organized by Bodies Race Company, founded in 2011 by Brad and Jen McCleary to promote fun, family, and fitness nationwide, this event offers multiple distance options including Kids Dash, 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, and 15K races. The course features paved paths and out-and-back routes through the beautiful riverside park setting with views of the Grand River trail system. Starting with the Kids Dash at 6:55 AM followed by the National Anthem and main race start at 7:00 AM, participants enjoy custom race shirts, finisher medals for all distances, free race photos, and complimentary Kona Ice. The summer beach party theme includes optional Beach Party Challenge pins and post-race activities with awards ceremony, vendor area, and finish line treats. Bodies Race Company prides itself on providing chip timing, live results, great swag, biggest team contests, and excellent customer service. This event combines the joy of summer running with family fun activities along one of Grand Rapids most popular running destinations on the Grand River trail system.
