About This Race
The 46th Annual Run Through the Pines is one of Southern California's longest-running races, dating back to 1979. This destination mountain race offers both 5K and 10K distances around the scenic Lake Gregory in Crestline, winding through beautiful pine forests at 4,720 feet elevation. The semi-paved open course provides stunning mountain and lake views, making it a perfect challenge for both mountain locals and valley runners seeking cooler temperatures and fresh mountain air. This family-friendly community event welcomes participants of all abilities, including children in strollers and pets on leash, creating an inclusive atmosphere that embodies the spirit of the San Bernardino mountain communities. Organized by the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District, the race features chip timing, comprehensive course support, and quality awards for a memorable mountain running experience.
