About This Race
The Tiblow Trot is a beloved 47-year community tradition organized by the Bonner Springs Rotary Club as the signature athletic event of the annual Tiblow Days festival. This unique multi-distance race features a challenging 5-mile run, 5K run/walk, and family-friendly 2K walk, starting at historic 3rd and Oak Street in downtown Bonner Springs. Named after Henry Tiblow, a Delaware Indian who operated a ferry across the Kansas River, the event combines athletic competition with community celebration and charitable giving. All participants receive a finisher medal and t-shirt, while proceeds support Bonner Springs High School scholarships and Rotary International Polio Plus Program to eradicate polio worldwide. The race offers a $225 bounty for new records and maintains its original challenging 5-mile distance that has distinguished it from area races since 1979.
