About This Race
The Anchorage Mayor's Marathon and Half Marathon is a summer solstice running event set against Alaska's breathtaking scenery, drawing thousands of participants from across the globe. The half marathon course takes runners on a scenic journey through Anchorage starting at Delaney Park Strip, traversing pedestrian pathways, forested trails, and views of Cook Inlet and the Alaska Range including stretches through Far North Bicentennial Park. The event is USATF certified and qualifies as a Boston Marathon-qualifying race.
