About This Race
The Freedom Run 2026 is a classic hometown road run on July 4th starting and ending at Home Plate Bar & Grill in Springfield, Illinois. The professionally timed event offers 5K, 10K, and mile distances using neighborhood routes marked with directional cones. After the race participants enjoy awards, food, drinks, and camaraderie at Home Plate Bar & Grill.
