The Classic at Mastick

Join the 33rd Annual Classic at Mastick, a beloved community tradition that has raised over $294,000 for high school seniors since 1992. This scholarship fundraising race takes place at the scenic South Mastick Picnic Area in Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Reservation, celebrating the kick-off to cross country season in true Cleveland style. The event features three timed races: a 2-Mile run for middle school and younger participants at 5:00 PM, followed by competitive Men's and Women's 5K races at 6:00 PM and 6:45 PM respectively. Set among the beautiful shale cliffs and floodplain forests alongside Rocky River, runners experience paved multipurpose trails with scenic views of massive trees and wildlife. Open to ALL ages and abilities, this chip-timed event combines serious competition with community celebration, featuring ASICS giveaways, overall and age group awards, and extensive pre/post-race activities. The race partnership between RunTheLand and Second Sole running store ensures professional organization and strong community support, making this one of Northeast Ohio's premier grassroots running events that truly gives back to local student athletes.
