The 2020 Pace and Pedal has gone VIRTUAL!!!

The COVID-19 outbreak may place limits on events and gatherings of people, but it doesn't put a limit on physical activity and having fun! While we are sad not to get to see your smiling faces in person this year, we are SUPER EXCITED to host our first ever VIRTUAL event! The Pace and Pedal event will be a Virtual 5K Color Fun Run/Walk. Sign up today, keep exercising and training, and plan your own personal Pace and Pedal 5K in your own neighborhood and backyard (just please be mindful of staying within your family/small groups, based on the current CDC and State of Wisconsin guidelines on your chosen race day). This is a great opportunity to stay active and healthy during this crazy time in our lives.

Note: The Pace and Pedal Duathlon portion of the event has been cancelled. Pre-registered participants will be contact with option of switching to the 5K event or having their registration fees refunded. Also, the 1 Mile Youth Run is no longer listed but youth can simply register for the 5K event and complete whatever distance they are able.

How does the Virtual Pace and Pedal 5K Color Fun Run/Walk work?

1. Register for the Pace and Pedal 5K (pre-registered participants will be given option of switching to new virtual race or having money refunded). Registration will re-open on Monday, March 30.
   
   
   
   • Participants age 13 and up: $10
   
   
   • Participants age 12 and under: $5 (FREE for local youth with coupon code)
     
     • Our virtual race can be done by anyone, anywhere! This is super exciting and a great way to share our event with others, but could break our budget if youth all over the country want to be a part of the fun. To help manage our expenses, the cost will be $5 for youth but we will be distributing a coupon code for area youth. Please contact [email protected] for your code if you do not receive it. Previous participants will be emailed the coupon code.)
     
     
   
   
   
   


2. Select a date between May 16 and May 31 to complete your 5K.


3. Make a plan for training for the event (we will be posting fun training tips and ideas on Facebook).


4. Look for a Pace and Pedal packet to arrive in the mail.
   
   
   
   • Packet for participants ages 13 and up: Race bib, colored powder packet, Pace and Pedal CUSTOM SOCKS, and random other items
   
   
   • Packet for participants ages 12 and under: Race bib, colored powder packet, youth medal, and random other items
   
   
   
   


5. Complete your 5K! Have fun and be sure to take lots of pictures! And don't forget to use your colored powder for your own backyard celebration!


6. Send us your pictures! Reply to our posts on Facebook, or email us at [email protected]. We want to post your pictures to share the fun and encourage others! 


7. Plan on seeing us in person in May 2021 for the return of our regular Pace and Pedal event at Wazee Lake Recreation Area in Black River Falls, Wisconsin!

Note - We will not be selling race shirts this year to simplify the transition to a virtual race. Shirts already purchased will be refunded. Shirts from last year's event are still on sale under the Store tab at a reduced price.
