Official Website

Description

The 5th Annual RUN FOR THEIR LIVES 10K, 5K, and 1-Mile Fun Run is Saturday, April 20, 2019!  The race benefits both Open Hands Overflowing Hearts (OHOH) and the Elaine Roberts Foundation (ERF).  OHOH was founded in 2014 by Kayla Funk of Hoover in response to her diagnosis of Neuroblastoma.  The Elaine Roberts Foundation was founded by Laura Roberts in 2016 in memory of her daughter, Elaine, who was diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma.  OHOH and ERF are 501c3 non-profits who share a mission to raise awareness and funding for pediatric cancer research, find a cure and bring an end to childhood cancer.

Whether you choose to run or walk the 10K, 5K or 1-Mile Fun Run, there will be honored guests along the route to encourage you, friendly volunteers to guide you, water and Powerade along the route, and wonderful refreshments at the end! Awards will be given to top 3 race times overall, then by age group and gender.  T-shirts are guaranteed for those registered by midnight on April 3rd. Come join us for what we hope becomes your favorite race event of the year and help us raise money for pediatric cancer research!

** Online registration will remain open until 7:45 am Saturday, April 20th. Please utilize this opportunity to register at home prior to packet pick up. Race Day packet pick up begins at 6 am and ends promptly at 7:50 am. If you are planning to pick up your bib race morning, please be there early to avoid long lines.
