The "FEAST MODE" Gobble Wobble Challenge:

First, gobble down the 10k and then wobble your way through the 5k to finish "FEAST MODE" Gobble Wobble Challenge and receive a special medal!

LOOKING FOR A FUN WAY TO INVOLVE YOUR KIDDOS THIS THANKSGIVING...JOIN IN THE FUN: 

KIDS FUN RUN:  The Kids Fun Run is for those that want to have a little bit of 1k fun on Thanksgiving Day. Kids receive a tee and a fun run medal. 

GOBBLE WOBBLE KIDS MARATHON: 

As a participant in the GW Kids Marathon, your child will run, walk, or hike a total of 25 miles during the 12 weeks leading up to race day. The last 1.2 miles will be completed at the Gobble Wobble on Thanksgiving Day to complete a full 26.2 miles!

Your child can run whenever and wherever is most suitable for them (Greenway, treadmill, neighborhood, park, school, etc). Upon signing up, please download the attached Marathon Progress Tracker Sheet located at the bottom of the page. You will see where you can fill in the distance your child ran on each day. Please sign at the end of each week to keep track of total mileage leading up to the Kids Marathon.

Bring the Marathon Progress Tracker to packet pickup. We will verify that all 25 miles have been run prior to the Kids Marathon. (This is an honor system progress tracker.) Please ensure you sign your child up early enough to allow for your child to complete a total of 25 miles prior to the Gobble Wobble Marathon.
Receive a special GW Kids Marathon medal for completing a total of 26.2 miles! As well as a t-shirt!

**Please note that the Kids Marathon event is separate from the Kids Fun Run.

RACE DAY IS THANKSGIVING DAY! THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2020

United Way of Forsyth County, which was founded in 1989, has been working to help bridge the gap between the needs that exist, the services that are provided, and the cost of making those services available to the folks who need them. 

Today, we remain committed to our goal of continuing that support and expanding our programs to include raising awareness of the needs and services that exist within our communities, to continued measurement of the priority of needs, to facilitating the formation of partnerships and collaborations to address unmet needs, and to cultivate greater support of local providers through volunteer coordination efforts.

 SCHEDULE:

 Packet pickup will be from 11 AM to 5 PM at North GA Running Co. on the following days:

Tuesday, November, 24th

Wednesday, November 25th 

 Race morning at race location (South Forsyth High School)  starting at 6:30 AM

 Race Registration will be available (if not sold out) at NGRC until Wednesday, November 25th and race morning at race location. 

 10k start time: 7:15 AM

 5k start time: 8:30 AM

 Kids Fun Run & Kids Marathon at 9:30 AM 

Event will be held rain or shine.

*Guaranteed t-shirt/hoodie if registered by November 22nd.

 **Guaranteed medal if registered by November 14th.

***PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL NOT HAVE AN AWARD CEREMONY POST GOBBLE WOBBLE. Overall and Age Group Awards will be at North GA Running Co. starting the day after the Gobble Wobble for pick-up. If you are from out of town, please let us know via email ([email protected]) and we will mail it.
