WE ARE BACK!

The 11th Annual Run From The Rays 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk will be held on Sunday, April 21st, at the Spanish River Athletic Complex in beautiful Boca Raton, FL (South side of Spanish River Blvd, just east of Military Trail and across from the Spanish River Library) Chip timing by Accuchip Timing, 5 year age group awards 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24…80+. Top 3 overall M/F. Top 3 Masters M/F. USATF certified 5K course. Finisher medals and t-shirts for first 500 REGISTERED & PAID participants only.  Awards will be made available at our award stage as soon as all timing is completed. If you are unable to stay to pick up your award, they will be at Runner's Edge after the event. 

National Anthem 6:45am 5K Run/Walk starts 7:00am. 1 Mile Run/Walk will start at 7:45am. 

Water will be provided at the water stations and water bottles will be at the Finish Line. Please refrain from throwing water bottles and any trash on the ground. There will be trash cans for easy disposal.

100% of the funds raised from Run From the Rays will be donated to our beneficiaries to support the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of malignant melanoma and other life-threatening forms of skin cancer, as well as the upkeep/refilling /replacing of the free sunscreen dispensers we have placed at parks, clubs and the beach. Past Race beneficiaries include: Milagro Center, Capri's Legacy, Mermaid Mile Swim, The Pap Corps, JAFCO, The Junior League of Boca Raton, The Caridad Center of Palm Beach County, Melanoma Research at Moffitt Cancer Center, Dermatology Medical Missions, Inc., The Richard David Kann Melanoma Foundation, The League of Ribbons at Lynn Cancer institute, The Melanoma Foundation of New England, The Boca Raton High School Swim Team, AVDA, The Fuller Center, Kindness Matters, Cancer Alliance of Help & Hope, SOS Children's Village, Special Compass, and The Boca West Children’s Foundation.

***REMINDER!! Packet pickup will be at Runner's Edge from 4/13/24-4/20/24 (at NOON on 4/20) No packet pickup at Runner's Edge after 12pm on Saturday, 4/20/24! 

Your packet will include your 2024 race bib, race swag and an amazing long sleeve UPF50 t-shirt! If you are unable to pickup your packet before the event please see notes below. If you have a question, please email Tom at Runner's Edge: [email protected].

YOU MAY PICK UP YOUR PACKET ON RACE DAY, APRIL 21st, FROM 6AM UNTIL 6:45AM (WHEN THE 5K STARTS.) THERE WILL BE NO PACKET PICKUP FOR EITHER EVENT AFTER THIS TIME. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SWITCH EVENTS AFTER 6:45AM.  IF YOU HAVE NOT PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED FOR THE VIRTUAL OPTION AND YOU DO NOT SHOW UP FOR THE RACE, YOUR MEDAL AND TEE WILL NOT BE MAILED TO YOU. 

Also, if you have registered for the Virtual event before Tuesday, April 16th, your packet should arrive prior to race day. If you registered/transferred to Virtual AFTER 4/16 you will receive packet after race day-- unless you choose to pick up from Runner's Edge before packet pickup ends on Saturday, April 20th.
