After much thought, deliberation and out of an abundance of caution Greening Up the Mountain 2020 has changed gears and will host a VIRTUAL 5K RUN this Year.

 

The health and safety of our community, families and runners must be our first priority. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you but We look forward to hosting our first SPRING 2020 VIRTUAL 5k on  April 24th-26th 2020.

 

How this will work, Run your own 5k (3.1 Miles) Track your route/time within 48 hrs from our Kick off at 9 am on April 24th-26th and submit your results.Your results submission will guarantee you a Race T shirt!

 

You are guaranteed a race t shirt and long as you sign up before April 26th at 9am and submit your 5k time.

 

We will set up a time/location for locals to pick up T shirt and other race items.  Stay tuned for guidance!

Course:

Course begins at Mark Watson Park in downtown Sylva, crosses Business 23 onto Old Dillsboro Road, loops into Monteith Park and returns on the same route back to Mark Watson Park. This is a relatively flat course with both paved and graveled road sections.
