OV Mermaid Festival Open Water Swim, 5K Beach Run/Walk & 1 Mile Family Fun Run

Join us for Ocean View's 2nd Annual Mermaid Festival on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 12pm to 5pm at Ocean View Beach Park.

Featuring 1 & 2 mile open water swims,  **just added** 1 Mile 4-person relay, a 5K beach run, 1 mile free family fun run followed by the Mermaid Festival - filled with 15 local vendors, artists, & local talent! We will have live entertainment with DJ KO and Brandon Bower playing live this year! 

We are also hosting OV's first craft beer festival! 20+ local breweries will showcase their best!  This is a separate, ticketed event.  Visit www.ovmermaidfest.com to purchase your ticket.

Whether you want to run, swim or enjoy a brew down the coastline, the annual Ocean View Mermaid Festival is the place to be!  

The open water swims are a triangle loop. Participants will swim out and then around three sets buoys for the 1 mile and 2 mile races. Race swag included for all participants at packet pick up/concluding the event. Easy parking available. This event has something for everyone from elite swimmers to beginners. 

Proceeds benefit local non-profits and sports organizations in Hampton Roads.

Start and finish: 100 W Oceanview Ave.  Norfolk, VA 23503
Open Water Swim Route: Triangle loop

5K Beach Run/Walk - 1.55 miles east down the beach & back, starting and finishing at Ocean View Beach Park. 

1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk - All ages welcome.  Free annual event!  You will start and stop at the same area.  

Packet Pickup:  Mudita Cafe (9647 1st View St, Norfolk, VA 23503), Friday June 21st, 2024 5:00PM - 7:00PM.
