Run for St. Jude 5k Walk/Run and 1K Fun Run by Carolina Christian School

      The National Honor Society of Carolina Christian School is excited to host this fun run to benefit the children of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. St. Jude is a wonderful charity that treats children who are battling cancer, and ensures that every family can walk away without paying a single penny towards their child's medical expenses. The event will consist of your choice of a 1K or 5K run.

      
      The 5K course has highly varied terrain including grassy fields, woodland trails, gravel roads, and paved roads. The course starts on the Carolina Christian School soccer field, then a single lap around the school, leading to a short woodland trail which opens to the scenic pastures of Brentwood Farms. It traverses the perimeter of Brentwood Farms on grass and gravel roads, transitioning to a short lap around the Brentwood neighborhood. It then returns on a pathway similar to the starting portion of the race, finishing with a final lap around the school.

Awards will be given out for the following categories!

Top 3 Male and Female Overall 

 and Top 3 for all age categories (excluded overall winner) 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Course Route

      The 1K will also begin on the soccer field of Carolina Christian School, then across a path onto the baseball field. Runners will circle the perimeter of the baseball, finishing with a lap around the school. This run is ideal for children because it is in an open area where they can be seen at all times throughout the run.
