Description

Sanctuary Night remains committed to offering trauma-informed care to womxn who are sexually exploited or at-risk of sexual exploitation. Our drop-in center on Sullivant Avenue continues to provide support for these womxn, many of whom are mothers, regardless of their custody status. In commemoration of these resilient womxn and to honor all mothers, we have chosen Mother's Day weekend for our second annual 5K event.

Join us on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Genoa Park in downtown Columbus.

Registration Fee: $50

Race start time: 9:00 AM (please arrive by 8:30 AM at the latest!)

Registration includes a t-shirt, medal, and swag bag.

Additional Event Information

Early Packet Pickup

Save time in line on race morning and get your race gear at Columbus Running Company's Short North location (765 North High St Suite B 43215). Early packet pickup will be held on Friday, May 10 (10a-8p). Race day pickup is also available near the start line (Genoa Park lower amphitheater) starting at 800a.

Race Day Parking

There are many parking garages and lots near Genoa Park in downtown Columbus. The closest parking area to the race site is the COSI garage at Dorian Green (50 S Belle St). Wherever you park, please obey all posted rules and regulations. Sanctuary Night 5K is not responsible for any improperly parked vehicles.

Race Day Timeline

8:00 AM - race day pickup begins at Genoa Park in the lower amphitheater (race day registration will only be available if spots remain open. Want to be sure you get registered? Don't wait until the last minute, sign up early!)
8:45 AM - FREE kids run recommended for youth aged 7 and under (please note: all participants must register online)
9:00 AM - the Sanctuary Night 5K Run/Walk is underway!
10:00 AM - awards presentation near the finish line

Safety

For a preview of the 5K route, please click here. Participation with headphones is allowed. Participation with strollers is allowed, and we do ask stroller-pushing athletes to start at the back of the pack per our insurer's requirements. Participation with pets is not permitted, please leave your furry friends at home. Particpation on bicycle, hoverboard, roller skates, etc., is all prohibited. Thank you for your understanding!

Awards

Awards will be provided to the top three male/female/non-binary overall finishers and the top male/female/non-binary finisher in each of the following age categories: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over.
