***Due to the high chance of rain, the Wildcat 5k/Car Show is moved to May 20th. All registration dates have been modified to reflect the new date.***
Welcome to the first annual Wildcat 5k and Fun Run. This event is hosted by the West Limestone Cross Country team and gives you the opportunity to run with members of the team while touring West Limestone High School and Sugar Creek Elementary School. The first 1.5 miles of the course is on pavement before moving to grass, dirt, and sand. In conjunction with the 5k and Fun Run, the West Limestone Band will be hosting a car show starting at 8:30 right by the finish line. Feel free to visit the car show free of charge after finishing the race! All proceeds for both events go to support the West Limestone Cross Country and Band.
Packet pickup: There will be no early packet pickup the day before the race. Packet pickup will be from 7-7:50 am on May 20th.

Shirts & Awards, Weather & Cutoffs
The race shirt will be a short sleeve grey shirt pictured below. The cutoff has been moved back! Now, a runners who register before midnight on May 4th will receive a free shirt!
The top 3 runners in each age category will receive a medal. Age categories are: female over 21, male over 21, female 21 and under, male 21 and under.
In the event of severe weather we will delay the start as necessary to avoid lightening. If severe weather threatens the entire day and does not appear to let up, we may be forced to cancel.
There will be very loose cutoffs. Our goal is for everyone to have a blast and a one of a kind experience running/ walking around our schools' campuses. There will be a 1hr cutoff. We ask that you please respect the school and volunteers and adhere to this cutoff time. Walkers are more than welcome! The average walking pace is around 18-20min/ mile.
There are no refunds, credits or friend/family transfers on entries.

Traffic, Parking and Sponsors
Roads will be closed from 7:45-10:00 am. Due to the car show, primary parking for the 5k will be at the baseball fields and Sugar Creek Elementary. To ensure efficient traffic flow, please come in through Sugar Creek Elementary (26595 Salem Minor Hill Rd, Lester, AL 35647) and you will be directed where to park. Handicap parking will be at West Limestone High School.
